Design 2172 Alpa 36
Introduced in 1973, this motorsailer by Alpa S.P.A. of Cremona, Italy was constructed of fiberglass. The boat was offered with both sloop and ketch rigs. It is yet another example of Rod Stephen's penchant for the type as a roomy cruising boat, albeit somewhat at the cost of beauty.
